Cask Ales
The main aim for The Albion is to offer an ever-changing and varied selection of Real Ales. These have included bitters, milds, stouts, porters, wheat & rye beers, pale ales, bocks, brown ales, old ales, fruit beers and cask conditioned lagers. We also like to offer a wide selection of Real Ciders & Perrys.
Real Ale
Real or 'cask conditioned ' ale is a natural product brewed using traditional ingredients and left to mature in the cask from which it is served in the pub through a process called secondary fermentation. It is this process which makes real ale unique amongst beers and develops the wonderful tastes and aromas which processed (keg and smoothflow) beers can never provide.
Mark takes great pride in the real ales provided in the pub and is very experienced in keeping our cask ales in the best condition.
We normally have four to six cask ales available and a real cider or perry on draught.
CAMRA Awards
Mark's commitment to real ale has been rewarded by the pub's appearance in the Campaign For Real Ale's Good Beer Guide for 2009 & 2010.
Nominated for Warrington & North Cheshire 'Pub of the Year', Warrington & North Cheshire 'Community Pub of the Year' and also 'Cheshire Pub of the Year'
CamRA LOCALe scheme
LOCALe for us covers beers brewed within 30 road miles of the pubs location or within the Warrington and Cheshire boundries. We aim to have a good balance of local and national beers, (usually 60% / 40%) the beers list below shows our LOCALe beers in blue

Please understand that it takes a lot of time and effort to maintain this list with the high volumes and speed at which beers come and go (7 hours for example). If the list has not been updated for a couple of days it is possable that it just indicates that there is little or no change in the line-up since updating. There will always be a selection available if you come down.

Our bitter,
Which art in barrels, hallowed be thy drink,
Thy will be drunk,
I will be drunk,
At home as I am in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us,
And lead us not to incarceration
But deliver us from hangovers,
For thine is the beer,
The bitter and the porter,
Forever and ever,
Barmen.
