There's something on every Saturday evening, DJs, bands and solo artists (see our Events/Entertainment page for details).
If you don't like the noise we have a quiet room where you can relax and enjoy your drink.
We have an outside smoking area ideal for smokers and lit in the evenings.
Enjoy your drink in our cobbled courtyard day or night

What we've been up to in 2008 & 2009
Well, to start with we took over the pub on December 20th 2007 - 4 days before Christmas. that was fun! We introduced Cask Ales before Christmas day and by New Year we had a few people drinking them. since then our selection and range has increased dramatically. This has let to the success of our 7 beer festivals to date.
The picture (right) is of the quietest part of the pub during our first birthday bash. We invited as many of our regulars as we could who have been with us since the beginning or those who discovered us during our first year and they all came... 100's of you came which told us that we must have been doing something right. We carried on doing it and this is where we're at now, we've Just held our second birthday bash and it was even better than our first. thank you to all who came
We now have a regular poker night which is usually now twenty-strong, live entertainment every Saturday night, a popular Acoustic Jam Night and a very successful Rock Night each month to complement our monthly Laurel & Hardy Nights. We aim to provide great beers with equally great entertainment. We are looking to introduce a monthly folk night in the near future.
Other events last year have included our involvement in CamRA's National Toast (pictured) in summer when drinkers from all over the country came together to toast, as one, to Real Ale.
We are proud to be the base of operations for The Scott Street Carnival committee, who are responsible for the very successful carnival day held on St Peter's Park (outside the pub) each year. They have raised over £3500 in the last 2 years for local good causes and we hope they will continue to do so for years to come. We hold the carnival's fund-raising fancy dress nights - look out for the dates in the entertainment section or look at photos here.
City-Talk.fm
We were selected to take part in a radio broadcast and interview about The Albion for Citytalk FM when Duncan Barks came down to the pub for a look around and to buy everyone at the bar a drink, you can click the picture (right) to read the article or here to listen to the full recording.
We have also been used to shoot several scenes for a short film.
Roger's 1000th pint
He's travelled the country sampling the best real ciders on offer but when it came to marking his ceremonial 1,000th pint, Orford’s Roger Lowe could only choose his local.
For the past 16 years Roger has taken his quest to try every real cider across the country and decided that he could only choose The Albion in Orford as the location for his millennial pint.
“I’ve enjoyed the journey to my 1,000th pint and I won’t stop now,” said Roger.
“It only seems right that this milestone was reached at a local cider pub in my hometown.”
Roger’s 1,000th pint was Solway’s Bradley Badger at a mere 5.8 per cent.
