Meet the Staff

mark

Meet Mark - The landlord

Interests include drinking, brewing beer to drink, reading (and getting into) books about beer and drinking,oh and fishing when the opportunity presents itself.

Can usually be found in or around the pub with a half of a half of beer and darting off for a cig. (Also pictured is Mark's dog Rocco - click his face for a pic)

gill

Gill - The landlady (the one who does the barring)

Gills interests also include drinking and the quest for good ale, marriage (she has married literally 100's of people), and a worryingly large collection of ornamental owls.

Often known to be around the pub on Sundays or on other occasions when you least expect.

kev

Kev - The manager

Usually around the pub doing something or other, you can tell him from the other members of staff by the vast quantity of scrap metal placed strategically here and there. (Click the cocktail for one of Kev's fire-shows).

Interests include drinking (family trait?) good milds, sweet ciders and cocktails. Currently reading 'War and peace' (started circa 1994). There is no point trying to talk sport with Kev but he has a wide selection of inappropriate jokes and poetry for all occasions. Music tastes include folk, ska, acid jazz and psychedelic trance.

Also pictured is Toby, her interests include, but are not exclusively, sardines. Click her for a kitten-pic.

debbie

Debbie - Our wonderful Chef

Can usually be found in the kitchen (but don't go looking for her). if you've eaten here Sunday - Friday then you've tasted Debbie's fantastic home-cooked food.

Her drink is vodka & bitter lemon and she's very proud to have won first place 'best fancy dress' for last years Beach Party.

Click on Debbie's flower to see one of her fantastic buffets.

samantha

Samantha - Fun-lovin barmaid

Tell Sam what you want and she'll give it to you any weekday 12-6, you may even get change too.

Another lover of cocktails and a proper party-goer, she does total body workout so don't even think of crossing her. She was voted the member of staff that you would least like to get thrown out by 2008 & 2009.

liz

Liz - Barmaid superior

This salsa-dancing lady takes care of you on Tuesday nights and if you're hungry on a Saturday, Liz will be happy to sort you out with one of our big breakfasts.

It hasn't happened yet but, being a teacher she may tell you go stand in the corner If you forget your manners

mel

Mel - Our Sunday night barbabe

If you'd like a bit of friendly banter on a Sunday night then you could do far worse than our Melissa, another die-hard party person. She's energetic (if not hung over) and a great laugh.

Incidentally, Mel does not believe that this picture looks anything like her!

carol anne

Carol Anne - The new one

The newest edition to our little family is Carol Anne who has taken over the breakfasts on Saturdays. The food's great and well worth a try.

When she's not cooking breakfasts for 40, she could be found at the bar having a quick pint of something dark before she goes home to practice her flute.

weemee andy

Andy - The wandering minstrel

Having moved away to Birmingham for university, we see a little less of Andy now, however not as little as you may expect. He keeps, well, turning up and it's always a pleasure having his cheeky grin to cheer us up. We will have the pleasure of his company again over Christmas and the beer festival.

We regret to inform you that the picture is slightly misleading; he doesn't have a pet monkey, however we are sure that he would if the opportunity arose.

Debbie - our buffet star
